For instance, what if the power goes out? What will you do? Having a basic candle on hand makes it so all you have to do is light a match, light the wick and you'll have at least some illumination to walk around your house in the pitch blackness.

Regardless, basic candles are extremely useful items to have around. Even if you don't think you'll ever use them, that's the best! It's always when you don't have something on hand that you'll find yourself needing it, right? Plan ahead and prepare yourself and your family for the worse by stocking up on emergency and basic candles. You can never be too safe and you certainly can never be overly prepared. Being too cautious should not be looked at as a problem. After all, you're just doing you're best for your family, right?
