Fruit Scented Reed Diffusers Can Bring a Greater Taste Sensation
I found out a few months ago that my younger sister had been diagnosed with breast cancer, but thankfully the cancer was in its early stage, and that a few sessions of “kemo” therapy would probably take care of it. My sister dealt quite well with the first session, but when the next treatment was over with, she noticed that her sense of taste had somewhat changed. She told me that things just did not taste the same to her anymore.
Of course, this must have been very disappointing to her, since the cancer treatments already had a tendency to take away some of her appetite. She actually got really depressed over this, and it worried me a lot. I tried to cheer her up as much as I could, but nothing seemed to work.
One night my sister was coming over, just to hang out for a few hours and I had made a fruit salad for us to pick at. I also thought that lighting some of my fruit scented Reed Diffusers would create an extra relaxing surrounding for her, and maybe put her in a better mood. When she arrived, everything was as usual, with light conversation about each others day and so on. Then I put out the fruit salad for us to nibble on, and all of a sudden she said, ” I can really taste this”!!!
We where both really surprised, and started to analyze why this had happened. And then she said; I bet it’s your fruit scented Reed Diffusers. I guess the appetizing aroma from the fruit scented Reed Diffusers, together with the fruit salad, had created a great combination of both smell and taste. It actually got her to taste the fruit much better.
I will never forget the smile on her face, and I am happy to say that she is dealing with her therapy a little better. Amazing how such a little thing can make such a big difference!! Next time she visits, I’m going to surprise her with chocolate scented Reed Diffusers and my special homemade chocolate cake.
