Incense do you actually like them

When I smelled Incense for the first time, it kind of blew me away, I couldn’t quite put my finger on it. But to me the peculiar aroma carried me off to a strange, funky underground parlor deep inside Bangkok somewhere. The scents kind of expect you to see women with their faces covered, only to expose a pair of beautiful deep brown eyes and men dressed in sheets and turbans sitting with their legs crossed on big comfortable pillows.

Once I got to see where this aroma came from, I have to admit that I wasn’t very surprised; of course an aroma like that had to come from sticks, or incense sticks as they are called. Further I was told that they come as incense burners as well, in all kinds of interesting shapes and forms, like Dragon Temples, Wiccan Nature, Mermaids, and Fairy Ash Catchers.

All these Incense sticks and Incense burners were used to cleanse and purify the air before any rituals could be performed in the olden days, and the rituals are still today mainly used for carrying our wishes up to the God and Goddess. I guess that my subconscious wish must have been to be carried off to some exotic place on the other side of the earth when I first smelled them. In all fairness though, I have to confess that I don’t really enjoy the smell of incense, once you have encountered them, they have a way of lingering with you for days and won’t let you enjoy the simple smell of herbal tea or a nice cup of coffee.
