Open Flame Candle-No!No! Flame less Candle-Yes!Yes!
Guess I didn’t think much about it, but after I got my new little kitten and we spent our first weekend together, I had a total scare. Usually on Saturday nights, me and my boyfriend have a romantic candle lit dinner, nothing fancy, just some relaxing time before we hit the party scene. Everything was going fine until I hear my boyfriend yell out, “you’re cat’s on fire”!! First I thought he was joking, but the kittens tail had caught on fire by one of my open flame candles.
It was easily put out and the cat was fine, but my heart was still pounding a thousand beats a minute. We both decided that my kitten would probably not walk up to an open flame candle again! But to our surprise, my kitten was back, checking out the open flame candles once again. Well, that was it for me, I certainly didn’t want any more accidental fires plus the smell of burnt hair, isn’t exactly my idea of a relaxing candle lit evening.
Then I remembered that one of my girlfriends had told me about flame less, battery operated candles and that they are really popular right now. They look like an open flame candle, just without the open flame. The flame less candles has the same romantic flickers to them and you can get them in all kinds of great colors and scents too!! So, from now on, it’s flame less candles for me. Or, at least until my kitten has grown some sense into it’s head.
