Reed Diffuser
Reed diffusers are the popular, stylish and incredibly effective way of enjoying a flameless wide range of different scents. A great aromatherapy diffuser next to your relaxing bathtub as an extra soothing element will bring hours of enjoyment as well. All kinds of fragrance diffusers, as well as electric diffusers that plugs into any indoor outlet are also great additions to any office space, dorm rooms, campers and boats; just about anywhere you want to have your special fragrance and aroma spread safely around to entice some extra relaxation.
It works very simply by using a dozen or more bamboo or willow rattan reeds which are placed in the mouth of its container, so the tips tend to fall into a circular pattern. The reeds are the ones that spread around the scent through a so called capillary action, and to have most success, the reeds must be turned, so the end with new oil is up.
Always remember to wash your hands after touching the oils, and to use a coaster under the Reed diffusers as well to avoid any stains. Since typical Reed diffusers oil is a diprophylene glycol-fragrance grade which only means that it has little or no inherent odor on its own, it has to have the right consistency to wick up a reed. Sometimes a little alcohol can be added to thin the consistency to wick effectively, or a higher concentration of essential oil (fragrance) might be tried as well.
