Once you decide to light pillar candles, do yourself a favor and let the pillar candles burn as long as necessary to create a puddle of candle wax that nearly covers up the diameter of the pillar candles. This will guarantee that the pillar candles burn in an even way each time you use it.

Furthermore, try not to let lit pillar candles stand in a wind draught because they will produce a bigger, more uneven flame and your pillar candles will burn up unequally.

Sunshine, and that goes not only for pillar candles, will die away the colors of your candles, so try not to leave them outside for too long.

And finally here is another general tip for pillar candles and all other candle types: Before you use them, put the pillar candles inside your freezer for at least an hour. This will expand the lifetime of your pillar candles immensely.
